Covey Cats
covey cats is a project by dewi kalis, hamsini malli, jessica peng, and myself, created for foundations of software engineering CS4530.
covey.town is a 2D game-like social platform, where users can chat with each other and play games. however, we found that the town was lacking activities for players to do when playing solo, and had lacking incentive to keep returning to play.
we created covey cats: a new gameplay feature where users can adopt cats as virtual pets. users can adopt the type of cat they want, walk around with their cat, and take care of their cat to keep them healthy and happy!
tech stack: PhaserAPI, TypeScript, React, deployed with Heroku and Render.
