Revolve's Rebranding and Theme
My goal for designing Revolve's semesterly theme and rebranding was to emphasize the liveliness and vibrant energy, and yet also the more serious and contemporary aspects of our dance style. Additionally, I also wanted to make everything I made to feel tangible, like it was a printed graphic that was photographed

Inspired by risograph printing, I chose a color palette that felt colorful and vibrant, and yet also contained dark and bold tones. I established an aesthetic that felt classic, not too whimsical — a nod to our foundational hip-hop styles in that semester's set, and emphasizing Revolve's established presence in the Boston dance community since its founding in 2009.

For the logo, I felt that Revolve was due for a refresh. The old logo felt too complex, with many varying widths of lines, and some details in the shape that felt unnecessary and confusing. With a new logo, I wanted it to resemble the essential shape of the old one, but bolder, simpler, and more memorable. As well, I wanted it to feel less delicate, but instead more lively and almost hand-drawn, with more movement in the strokes.

Hoodie Merch Design
Merch drafts included designs for embroidered sporty windshirts, and embroidered, Y2K-inspired windbreaker jackets.
After a poll from the team, the hand-drawn merch design for the hoodie was the most popular! After improving upon the design, I sent in an order for the custom screen printed hoodies.

The final hoodie mockups are below:
